Broncos' Fabian Moreau: Finds new home

Moreau will play for his third team in three years after spending the first four seasons of his career in Washington. He spent last season with the Giants, appearing in 14 games and recording 66 tackles (50 solo) and 10 passes defended. He'll likely have a depth role in Denver's secondary.

Moreau led New York with 10 pass defenses, and he tallied a career-high 66 tackles despite playing nearly 300 fewer defensive snaps than he did with Atlanta last season. The veteran cornerback held steady as the campaign progressed, averaging 5.6 tackles between Weeks 13 and 17 before resting during the Giants' regular-season finale. Moreau began the campaign on New York's practice squad before signing to the active roster in late September and subsequently ascending to a starting role. He'll be a free agent after the season.

Giants' Fabian Moreau: Eight stops Saturday
Moreau posted eight tackles (five solo) during Saturday's 27-24 loss to the Vikings.
Moreau came up one tackle shy of his season high and also tied with linebacker Micah McFadden as the Giants' second-leading tackler behind linebacker Jaylon Smith (10) in Week 16. The 28-year-old cornerback also played every defensive snap for the third time in the last four games, as he's been the team's top cornerback with Adoree' Jackson (knee) sidelined since Week 11. Moreau now has 62 tackles and a team-high 10 passes defended over 13 games this season, and he'll look to notch his first interception of the year against versus Indianapolis this coming Sunday.

Moreau missed New York's Week 12 contest against Dallas due to an oblique injury, but he was able to return to face the Commanders on Sunday. Moreau didn't play in the Giants' Thanksgiving Day matchup against Dallas due to an oblique injury he picked up a week prior. The cornerback returned to practice during Week 13 prep, but he logged three straight limited sessions and is considered questionable for Sunday's divisional matchup. Adoree' Jackson (knee) has been ruled out again, so if Moreau remains sidelined as well, Nick McCloud, Rodarius Williams and Cor'Dale Flott would presumably operate as New York's top three cornerbacks against Washington.

Moreau (oblique) is listed as out for Thursday's game at Dallas, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Moreau was forced out of the Giants' loss versus Detroit on Sunday early with an injury to his oblique, and he'll now have to miss at least one game as he recovers. With Adoree' Jackson (knee) also out for Week 12, the table appears to be set well for Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb to feast Thursday.

Moreau exited Sunday's loss to the Lions with what was originally deemed a rib injury, but the problem has been pinpointed to his oblique. The starting cornerback will have to heal quickly to have a chance to suit up against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving.
