Colts' Amari Rodgers: Picked up by Indianapolis
Rodgers agreed to terms with the Colts on Wednesday.
The 2021 third-round pick has found his third home in two years after being waived by both the Packers and Texans. Rodgers has tallied 20 receptions for 249 yards and one touchdown in his career, but he's mainly been a return man, as he's recorded 626 return yards. He's had issues holding onto the ball, fumbling eight times in just two years, but expect Indianapolis' newest receiver to compete for the kick and punt returner job ahead of the coming season.

Amari Rodgers: Gets cut loose
Rodgers was waived by the Texans on Sunday.
Rodgers saw action in six contests for Houston last season, after being waived by the Packers midseason. He finished his time with the Texans having caught 12 of 17 targets for 154 yards and a touchdown. A third-round selection out of Clemson in 2021, Rodgers has yet to carve out a steady role for himself in two seasons. He'll now work to earn an opportunity elsewhere.

Texans' Amari Rodgers: Sets himself up for 2023
Rodgers caught three of four targets for 22 yards in a 32-31 victory over Indianapolis in Week 18.
Rodgers was given an opportunity due to a late-season injury to Nico Collins (foot) and likely played his way into the 2023 mix at wideout. Rodgers caught 12 of 17 targets for 154 yards and a touchdown over the final five games. The Texans will be hiring a new head coach and probably a new offensive coordinator, so personnel decisions are up in the air, but Rodgers has two years left on his contract. If the organization parts with Brandin Cooks, there could be a starting spot available for a wide receiver. The downside for fantasy speculators is this will be another rebuilding year in Houston with new coaches and a new quarterback.

Texans' Amari Rodgers: Remains in rotation
Rodgers caught both of his targets for 12 yards and ran once for four yards in Sunday's 31-3 loss to the Jaguars.
Rodgers has been given a fresh start in Houston after the Packers released the 2021 third-round draft pick in November. He's made a couple of big catches for the Texans -- a 28-yard touchdown reception in the near-upset of Dallas and 37-yarder on the go-ahead drive in Week 16's win over Tennessee. Rodgers has nine catches on 13 targets for 132 yards (14.7 YPC) over the last four games.

Texans' Amari Rodgers: Limited role in win
Rodgers caught one of two targets for 37 yards in Saturday's 19-14 win over Tennessee.
Rodgers' catch was a big one, setting up Houston's go-ahead score with just under three minutes left. With Brandin Cooks returning from a calf injury, Rodgers played just 14 snaps and operated as the No. 4 wideout. He's caught seven of 11 targets for 120 yards and a touchdown over the last three games.

Rodgers caught two of three targets for 26 yards in Sunday's 30-24 overtime loss to Kansas City.
Rodgers, who caught four passes and his first career touchdown in Week 14, once again benefitted from Brandin Cooks (calf) and Nico Collins (foot) being unavailable. He was third among wideouts in playing time (32 snaps), behind Chris Moore (55) and Phillip Dorsett (54), and he out-targeted Dorsett for a second straight week.

Texans' Amari Rodgers: First career touchdown
Rodgers recorded four receptions on five targets for 57 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-23 loss to the Cowboys.
Rodgers appeared in his second game with the Texans and was thrust into a prominent role due to the absence of Brandin Cooks (groin) and Nico Collins (foot). He did the majority of his damage on a 28-yard touchdown catch late in the second quarter, the first score of his career. Rodgers will drop back to a peripheral role once either Cooks or Collins is able to return, though it's unclear when that may occur.

Texans' Amari Rodgers: Could step in as No. 3 wideout
Rodgers is expected to serve as one of the Texans' top three receivers in Sunday's game against the Cowboys with Brandin Cooks (calf) and Nico Collins (foot) both ruled out, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
After being claimed off waivers from the Packers on Nov. 16, Rodgers was inactive for the Texans' subsequent two games before finally getting the chance to make his debut in last week's loss to the Browns. Rodgers went without a target on 17 snaps, but his playing time and involvement in the passing game can only go up while Texans starting quarterback Davis Mills is without his top two wideouts this week. Phillip Dorsett and Chris Moore are ahead of Rodgers on the depth chart and are likely to fill in for Cooks and Collins on the perimeter, potentially leaving Rodgers to handle the slot role that has typically been Moore's domain when Houston has its receiving corps at full health.

Rodgers played 17 snaps but was not given a target. Brandin Cooks' calf injury opened up an opportunity for Rodgers, who was claimed three weeks ago after being released by Green Bay. Phillip Dorsett, however, got most of the snaps made available by Cooks' absence.
