Texans' George Fant: Inks deal with Houston
Fant signed a one-year deal worth up to $4 million with the Texans on Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Fant had tryouts with the Texans and the Titans earlier in the week but opted to sign with Houston. He showed versatility with the Jets over the last three seasons, starting in 36 games over that span while playing both offensive tackle spots.

Fant has worked out for the Titans and Texans recently, showing that he's over the knee injury that sidelined him for the majority of the 2022 season. He started 36 games for the Jets over the past three seasons and can play either offensive tackle spot.

Fant (knee) was placed on injured reserve Saturday.
Fant missed the majority of the season with a knee injury and was limited to only eight games as a result. He'll turn his focus to getting fully healthy for the 2023 campaign, while Mike Remmers will likely serve as the starting right guard Sunday against the Dolphins.

Jets' George Fant: No go for Week 18
Fant (knee) has been ruled out for Week 18 against the Dolphins, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.
Fant will miss the regular-season finale as he tends to the knee injury that he has been dealing with since September. With Duane Brown (shoulder) also out, Mike Remmers and Cedric Ogbuehi could step into starting roles Sunday in Miami.
