Cardinals' Geoff Swaim: Links up with Arizona
Swaim is signing with the Cardinals on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Swaim has spent each of the past three seasons in Tennessee and appeared in 17 contests last year. The veteran finished with 12 receptions on 16 targets for 58 yards and a touchdown in 2022. He should compete for a backup role behind Zach Ertz (knee) and Trey McBride.

Titans' Geoff Swaim: Playing time dwindles further
Swaim recorded one reception on one target for four yards in Sunday's 35-10 loss to the Eagles.
Swaim played a season-low 20 snaps while continuing to give way to both Austin Hooper and Chigoziem Okonkwo. His lone catch of the game came midway through the third quarter and was not impactful. Even if Swaim sees his playing time tick back up, his primary role will almost certainly be as a blocker.

Titans' Geoff Swaim: Being phased out of passing attack
Swaim failed to corral his lone target while playing 31 snaps on offense in Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Bengals.
With rookie Chigoziem Okonkwo and top tight end Austin Hooper having both taken on heightened roles in the Tennessee passing attack of late, Swaim has functioned mainly as a blocker in recent weeks. After drawing seven targets across the Titans' first three games of the season, Swaim has been targeted a combined five times in Tennessee's subsequent eight contests. The lack of involvement isn't the result of any major downturn in playing time, either; Swaim has logged snap shares above 50 percent in each of those eight games.

Swaim failed to record a catch on his only target in Sunday's 17-10 win over Denver.
Swaim saw his snap rate dip to 53 percent, his lowest mark since Week 2. He failed to record a catch for the fourth straight game, and even if his role rebounds, he will remain the Titans' blocking tight end.

Swaim continued his quiet season, though that was hardly a surprise given that Malik Willis attempted only 10 passes on the day. Swaim now has zero catches in four of seven games for the campaign while serving primarily as a blocker for Tennessee.
