  • Ravens' Arthur Maulet: Stays in AFC North

Maulet agreed to a one-year deal with the Ravens on Tuesday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

After appearing in every game for the Steelers over the past two seasons, Maulet has found a new home within the same division. The veteran cornerback was signed by the Saints after going undrafted in 2017 and has also played for the Colts and Jets over the course of his career. Expect the Memphis product to compete for a depth role in a very crowded Baltimore cornerback room ahead of the coming season.

  • Arthur Maulet: Gets cut loose

The Steelers released Maulet on Wednesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Maulet spent the last two seasons of his six-year NFL career with the Steelers. He appeared in all 17 of Pittsburgh's games in 2022, recording 59 tackles (38 solo), two sacks, three pass breakups and an interception. The 29-year-old also was a regular contributor on special teams, giving him versatility as he seeks out a new franchise for the 2023 season.

  • Steelers' Arthur Maulet: Not present on injury report

Maulet (hamstring) was not listed on the Steelers' injury report Wednesday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.

Maulet has been considered day-to-day since he suffered a hamstring injury during practice in mid-August, but he looks to be fully healthy once more given his absence from Pittsburgh's first injury report of the 2022 regular season. The 29-year-old cornerback recorded a career-high 47 tackles and one pass defended over 16 games with the team last season, and he should fill in behind Ahkello Witherspoon and Cameron Sutton during the Steelers' season opener against Cincinnati on Sunday.

  • Steelers' Arthur Maulet: Sustains hamstring injury

Maulet is considered day-to-day after sustaining a hamstring injury at practice Tuesday, Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Maulet was productive during Saturday's preseason opener against Seattle, racking up five solo tackles, including two tackles for losses. However, it's not yet clear whether he'll be available for Saturday's preseason matchup against Jacksonville following his ankle injury. If Maulet is back to full health in time for the regular season, he's not expected to take on a starting role but should be able to earn increased playing time in 2022 since Joe Haden is no longer with the team.

  • Steelers' Arthur Maulet: Signs two-year deal with Pittsburgh

The Steelers re-signed Maulet to a two-year deal on Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Maulet appeared in 16 games for the Steelers in 2021, totaling 47 tackles (38 solo), one pass deflection and one forced fumble. The journeyman cornerback played 20-plus defensive snaps 10 times, but he saw his playing time significantly reduced when Joe Haden returned Week 15 following a four-game absence due to a foot injury.

  • Steelers' Arthur Maulet: Clears concussion protocol

Maulet (concussion) was a full practice participant Friday and does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against Kansas City, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.

Maulet began the week in concussion protocols but managed two limited practices prior to the full session Friday. Both his increased level of activity and lack of injury designation suggests that he has cleared protocols and is ready for Sunday's wild-card matchup against Kansas City. Since Joe Haden's return in Week 15, Maulet has earned the majority of his playing time on special teams.

Coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that Maulet is in the NFL's concussion protocols, Dale Lolley of DKPittsburghSports.com reports.

Maulet returned from the reserve/COVID-19 list and registered four solo tackles across 17 defensive snaps in Week 18. However, he apparently suffered a concussion during the contest and is in danger of missing the wild-card matchup with the Chiefs on Sunday.
