Bears' Isaiah Ford: Signs with Chicago
Ford and the Bears agreed on a contract Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Ford will join the Bears after spending the 2022 season as a free agent, last appearing in an NFL game two year ago. In 2021, the wide receiver caught 12 passes for 161 yards and two scores over 13 games with the Dolphins. Ford will likely be vying for a practice squad spot with Chicago ahead of the 2023 campaign.

Isaiah Ford: Cut by Indianapolis
The Colts released Ford on Tuesday, per independent NFL reporter Dov Kleiman.
Ford spent four years in Miami before signing a one-year deal with the Colts this offseason. However, the 2017 seventh-round pick is among the first wave of cuts ahead of Tuesday's 85-man roster deadline. Ford has totaled 63 receptions for 681 yards and two touchdowns across 22 career appearances.

Ford logged a career-high 13 appearances in 2021, but he was only targeted 17 times in that span. The soon-to-be 26-year-old turned those opportunities into 12 catches for 161 yards and two scores, and as he's now on track to hit free agency, Ford may have to search for his next depth role elsewhere.

Dolphins' Isaiah Ford: Negligible impact vs. Titans
Ford secured one of two targets for zero receiving yards during Sunday's 34-3 loss to Tennessee.
Ford's opportunities were few and far between in a matchup that saw Tua Tagovailoa only throw for 205 yards, with no touchdowns and one interception. Miami's aerial attack flows through Jaylen Waddle (seven targets), Mike Gesicki (seven targets) and DeVante Parker (13 targets), and as long as those players remain available, Ford isn't a candidate for fantasy consideration outside the deepest of formats.

Ford wasn't targeted while playing 17 of the Dolphins' snaps on offense during Monday's 20-3 win over the Saints.
Ford saw a typical snap share (26 percent), but he couldn't garner any looks from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who directed most of his attention to Jaylen Waddle (12 targets). Though Will Fuller (finger) is looking increasingly unlikely to play again this season, Ford won't have much of a role in Miami's weekly game plans while all of Waddle, DeVante Parker and Albert Wilson are healthy and available.

Ford caught all three of his targets for 51 yards during Sunday's divisional win over the Jets.
Ford stepped up with top wideout Jaylen Waddle out Week 15 on the COVID-19 list, making key plays when targeted by quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. In all, Ford has proven himself as a capable reserve option, but with Waddle now back in the fold, he shouldn't be counted on for fantasy production Week 16.

Ford rewarded anyone brave enough to rely on him for fantasy purposes with a touchdown Week 13, but in the vast majority of formats, he remains off the radar entirely. Through nine games this season, Ford only has eight catches for 110 yards and two scores on 12 targets.

Ford was not targeted during Sunday's win over the Jets, in which he only played one offensive snap.
Ford didn't contribute on special teams Week 11, so his sole offensive snap was his only contribution in Miami's win. The prior contest, Ford had secured all four of his targets for 84 yards, so it was somewhat surprising to see him almost entirely uninvolved versus New York. As a result of Ford's lack of consistent involvement on offense, even with both DeVante Parker (shoulder) and Will Fuller (finger) sidelined, it's almost impossible to trust him in all fantasy formats heading into a Week 12 matchup against the Panthers.

Dolphins' Isaiah Ford: Best game of season
Ford secured all four of his targets for 84 yards during Thursday's 22-10 win over the Ravens.
Ford did most of his damage with a single 54-yard catch in which he broke free up the sideline, but by any definition Thursday night was his best performance of the season. In his previous five appearances this year, Ford had only turned five targets into two catches for 13 yards and a score. However, with Will Fuller (finger) apparently having a chance to return Week 11, Ford's involvement on offense could soon be reduced.

Ford handled a slightly increased role with DeVante Parker (shoulder) still sidelined, but he still didn't see enough volume to warrant fantasy consideration Week 8 against the Bills. However, that Ford was able to score on his lone target does highlight the fact that he's a reliable depth piece for Miami.
