Buccaneers' William Gholston: Re-ups with Tampa Bay
The Bucs re-signed Gholston to a one-year contract Monday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
A fourth-round pick by the Bucs in the 2013 Draft, 2023 will mark Gholston's 11th season with the franchise. He appeared in all 17 games last season, making nine starts, but he failed to record a sack for just the second time in his career. Gholston played 43 percent of the snaps in 2022 and will fill a rotational role along the defensive line in 2023, assuming he makes the team.

Buccaneers' William Gholston: Back with Buccaneers
Gholston agreed to a one-year contract with the Buccaneers on Tuesday, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
The 30-year-old will return for a 10th season in Tampa Bay after recording 36 tackles (21 solo) and 4.5 sacks in 17 games last season. Gholston hasn't missed a game since 2017 and should remain a key piece of the Bucs' defensive front next season.

Gholston recorded three tackles (two solo), including 2.5 sacks, and was credited with three total quarterback hits during the Buccaneers' 32-6 win over the Panthers in Week 16.
Gholston blasted through his previous career high of three sacks in remarkable fashion, posting the first multi-sack effort of his career. The veteran defensive lineman also has a pair of six-stop tallies in the last four games, rendering him an unlikely late-season IDP asset.

Gholston totaled six tackles (five solo), including one for loss, in the Buccaneers' 9-0 loss to the Saints on Sunday night.
The veteran usually generates modest tackle totals, but Gholston now has accrued six stops in two of his last three contests. The 30-year-old is still off the radar in the overwhelming majority of IDP formats, however, as he usually offers minimal production outside of a handful of stops per contest.

Gholston recorded five tackles (four solo) during the contest, but he wasn't able to bend his right knee when he walked off the field after the game. It's unclear how serious the injury is, but his status will be worth monitoring ahead of Week 14.
