There's only one positive to take out of this -- Sheehan avoided allowing a home run. Beyond that, it was the worst start of his young career against arguably the most dangerous offense he's faced so far, though the Rangers were missing Corey Seager and Adolis Garcia from the lineup. Sheehan has given up at least four runs in each of his three outings in July after allowing just five total runs over 17 innings in his first three career starts. Sheehan has a 6.75 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 22:16 K:BB through 29.1 innings overall. He's tentatively lined up for a home start versus the Reds next weekend, but he could be at risk of losing his place in the rotation if the Dodgers pursue starting pitchers at the trade deadline.

Sheehan coughed up three runs over the first two innings but was able to settle in and improve to 3-0. Inclement weather delayed the start of the game, but it didn't quiet the Dodgers' bats. Sheehan left the game with an 11-3 lead, and he threw 60 of 88 pitches for strikes in another solid outing in the most challenging of venues for his first career road start. This was also the first time in his three career starts that he didn't walk a batter. He's pitched to a 2.65 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 12:4 K:BB over 17 innings so far. Sheehan's making a great impression and a strong case to remain in the rotation even as Julio Urias (hamstring) is set to return Saturday. Sheehan's projected to face the Pirates next week.

Sheehan followed up his excellent debut (six no-hit innings against the Giants on June 16) with another solid performance. The rookie out of Boston College is showing why he rose up the Dodgers' farm system quickly, as he's now allowed just two runs over 12 innings pitched. It remains to be seen whether or not the right-hander will continue to be a regular in the rotation, but fantasy managers should certainly keep an eye on him going forward.

After Sheehan tossed six no-hit innings in his MLB debut last Friday against the Giants, manager Dave Roberts confirmed the rookie would receive at least one more turn through the Dodgers rotation. The skipper didn't initially clarify whether Sheehan would take the hill for Wednesday's road game in the Angels or at some point during the series with Houston, but the young right-hander is now officially locked in to make his second career start versus the reigning World Series champions. The length of Sheehan's stay with the big club will likely hinge on how he performs versus Houston and any additional starts that may follow, as well as the availability of Julio Urias (hamstring), who could be ready to rejoin the rotation at some point late next week.

Sheehan could hardly have done better in his MLB debut Friday, as he tossed six no-hit innings Friday in a no-decision. Julio Urias (hamstring) and Noah Syndergaard (finger) are working back from the injured list, but Sheehan will have time to make at least one more start before his job is threatened. Per Eric Stephen of SBNation.com, he'll be given extra rest prior to that start, so he'll get ball during the weekend series against the Astros.

Sheehan had about as good a debut as possible, throwing 51 of 89 pitches for strikes. The excellent start was wasted by the Dodgers' bullpen, which allowed the lead to slip away in the eighth inning. Sheehan hadn't pitched above Double-A before Friday -- he had a 1.86 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 88:23 K:BB through 53.1 innings at that level this season. It's likely he's not going back there any time soon, though it's unknown if he'll stay in the majors or head to Triple-A Oklahoma City. With Noah Syndergaard (finger) set for a slow ramp-up process and Julio Urias (hamstring) in need of at least one rehab outing, it's possible Sheehan could remain in the rotation to face the Angels next week.
