  • Braves' Spencer Strider: Makes history again

Strider (12-3) picked up the win Tuesday, allowing one run on five hits and two walks over 6.2 innings in a 5-1 victory over the Angels. He struck out nine.

The right-hander came just short of his fifth straight start with double-digit strikeouts, but by fanning Shohei Ohtani in the first inning, Strider became the fastest pitcher in MLB history to 200 Ks in a season by doing it in just 123.1 innings. He broke the record held by... himself, as he needed 130 innings to whiff his first 200 batters as a rookie in 2022. Since battling through a couple rough outings in early June, Strider has posted a 2.82 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and stunning 81:8 K:BB through 51 innings over his last eight starts. He's next set to take the mound early next week in Pittsburgh.

  • Braves' Spencer Strider: Tallies double-digit K's again

Strider allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits and one walk while striking out 10 batters over 6.1 innings in a no-decision against Boston on Wednesday.

Strider cruised through five scoreless frames before Rafael Devers tagged him for a solo homer in the sixth. Strider got through the rest of that inning and continued into the seventh, when he surrendered another solo shot to Triston Casas before getting the hook after allowing a single to the following batter. The Red Sox turned out two more runs in the frame following the hurler's departure, saddling him with a no-decision. Despite the late struggles, Strider posted another big outing from a fantasy perspective, tallying double-digit punchouts for his fourth straight start. The right-hander has just one win and a so-so 4.01 ERA during that span, but he's posted a remarkable 44:3 K:BB across 24.2 frames during the stretch to boost his MLB-best strikeout total to 199 -- 37 more than his closest competition (Kevin Gausman).

  • Braves' Spencer Strider: Strikes out 13 in no-decision

Strider did not factor into the decision Thursday, allowing four runs on four hits and one walk over six innings against the Diamondbacks. He struck out 13.

Strider was his usual dominant self through the first six innings, striking out 12 of the first 17 batters he faced, before allowing four runs in the top of the seventh. It was the right-hander's second start in a row in which he allowed at least four runs, though he also matched his season high with 13 strikeouts on the afternoon. Strider has now recorded double-digit strikeouts in three consecutive starts, with Thursday's performance already putting him over 200 strikeouts for the season.

  • Braves' Spencer Strider: Fans 10 but gives up five runs

Strider (11-3) took the loss against the White Sox on Saturday, pitching six innings and allowing five runs on eight hits while striking out 10 batters.

Strider displayed plenty of his usual dominance, racking up 26 whiffs and 10 strikeouts. However, the right-hander was knocked around a bit when he wasn't missing bats, as four of the eight hits against him went for extra bases, including a go-ahead homer by Jake Burger in Strider's final frame. The All-Star hurler has notched double-digit strikeouts in seven different starts this season, and he leads MLB with 176 punchouts overall. He's also tied for the league lead with 11 wins, though his 3.66 ERA is nearly a run worse than the 2.67 mark he posted as a rookie last year.

  • Braves' Spencer Strider: Snares 10th victory

Strider (10-2) earned the win Sunday, allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits and one walk over 6.2 innings against the Marlins. He struck out nine.

Strider picked up his fourth consecutive win Sunday, fanning nine batters across 6.2 frames. The 24-year-old has been the MLB's premier strikeout pitcher, leading the league with 155 punchouts and a 14.2 K/9 while racking up eight or more K's in 14 of his 17 starts. After enduring a rough patch in early June during which he gave up 13 runs over two appearances (nine innings), Strider has bounced back with four earned runs across his last three starts (19.2 innings) to bring his ERA to 3.66 on the year. He's expected to toe the mound once more before the All-Star break in a projected matchup with the Rays at Tropicana Field next weekend.

  • Braves' Spencer Strider: Strikes out 10 in win

Strider (9-2) earned the win Monday, allowing one run on three hits and two walks over seven innings against the Twins. He struck out 10.

Strider struck out at least 10 batters for the fifth time this season and earned his fifth win over his last six starts. During that stretch, he's posted a 49:11 K:BB and 13.0 K/9. Overall, Strider holds a 3.73 ERA and 1.11 WHIP, but those numbers are skewed by a poor performance against the Mets on June 8. If you take that game out of the equation, Strider has a 3.08 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 138:30 K:BB across 15 appearances (87.2 innings). He's currently lined up for a home matchup versus the Marlins in his next start.
