Also in the AFC east, the Dolphins and playmakers like Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and Tua Tagovailoa at quarterback are being discussed as a championship dark horse. Top 2023 Fantasy football picks

The Fantasy football draft bible includes the top 2023 Fantasy football busts, including:

George Pickens, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers: The Georgia product was a second-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft and he had 52 receptions for 801 yards and four touchdowns as a rookie. These aren't poor numbers, especially for an offense with changing quarterbacks, but Gibbs took a deeper look into the routes Pickens ran and why the Steelers didn't do him any favors. Pickens ran the most vertical routes in the NFL last season, which doesn't bode well for Fantasy football value. If that doesn't change this season, Pickens' talent may be wasted for Fantasy football players.

"If you're looking to explain away Pickens' poor success rates, you can point to the incredibly vertical nature of his route," Gibbs told Sportsline. "He ran a nine on a whopping 32.4% of his sampled routes. That is nuts. Anything over 30% is borderline unreasonable. When you also add that he ran a corner on nearly 10% of his routes, it's really wild how the Steelers didn't add more diversity to his route tree."

Kenneth Walker, RB, Seattle Seahawks: The Michigan State product was a second-round pick (No. 41 overall) in the 2022 NFL Draft and rushed for 1,050 yards and nine touchdowns over 15 games in a successful rookie season. He took 65% (228 of 350) of the carries for Seattle halfbacks, but that number may decrease based on the 2023 NFL Draft. The Seahawks selected Zach Charbonnet from UCLA in the second round (No. 52 overall) after he rushed for 1,359 yards and 14 touchdowns over 10 games in his senior year. Gibbs noted Charbonnet was one of the top short-yardage runners in this April's draft, which is an aspect Walker struggled in last season. That could lead to a decrease in usage and production.

"Walker's new backfield mate, Round 2 selection Zach Charbonnet, stood out as one of the best short-yardage backs that I evaluated from the 2023 class," Gibbs told Sportsline. "He ranked top-four in conversion rate from inside the 10 and 5-yard line and his conversion rate discrepancy score (measured relative to backfield teammates) ranked fourth. This is an area where Walker has always struggled, and it's well within reason for the short-yardage work to belong to Charbonnet starting in Week 1." Get the full Fantasy football draft guide over at SportsLine.
