Gorman was scratched from the lineup Thursday versus the Twins due to a bruised foot, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
Gorman fouled a ball off his foot Wednesday and will take a day off for rest and treatment. It's not a serious concern. Jose Fermin is now starting at second base and batting ninth for the Cardinals in Thursday's series finale against Minnesota.
