  • Spurs' Dominick Barlow: Sticks in San Antonio

Barlow agreed Wednesday with the Spurs on a new two-way contract, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Barlow also spent the 2022-23 season under a two-way deal with San Antonio and appeared in 29 games at the NBA level, averaging 3.9 points and 3.5 rebounds in 14.1 minutes per game with the Spurs. Though Barlow closed his rookie campaign as a member of the rotation, the additions of Victor Wembanyama and Cedi Osman to the frontcourt likely means that the 20-year-old won't have a path to minutes while San Antonio has all its key big men available. Barlow is instead expected to see most of his playing time in the G League in 2023-24.

  • Spurs' Dominick Barlow: Drops 19 points

Barlow put up 19 points (8-12 FG, 3-6 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 30 minutes during Friday's 79-73 Summer League loss to Detroit. Along with guys like Victor Wembanyama, Julian Champagnie and Malaki Branham, Barlow has really stood out on this Summer League roster. Barlow played with the Spurs on a two-way contract last season and is doing his part to secure at least a training camp invite.

  • Spurs' Dominick Barlow: Strong showing down low

Barlow totaled 24 points (10-13 FG, 4-6 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocks in 23 minutes during Monday's Summer League game against the Hornets. Barlow did all of his damage from inside the arc, as he scored with efficiency (76.9 percent) and grabbed seven of his 11 rebounds on the defensive end. The second-year big man didn't make much of an impact during his rookie season (3.8 points, and 3.5 rebounds in 29 games), and he'll likely need to put together an impressive Summer League campaign to have a shot at carving out a meaningful bench role heading into next season.

  • Spurs' Dominick Barlow: Closes season on strong note

Barlow finished with 21 points (8-11 FG, 5-7 FT), 19 rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal over 34 minutes during Sunday's 138-117 win over the Mavericks. The undrafted rookie closed out his season on a high note, setting new career-best marks in minutes, points and rebounds in the finale. The 19-year-old was outside of the rotation for much of the season, but he logged double-digit minutes in all but two of the final 16 games while several key players sat out for rest or minor injuries. Altogether, Barlow finished the campaign with averages of 3.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 0.7 blocks in 14.1 minutes per contest while shooting 53.5 percent from the field and 72 percent from the charity stripe in 29 appearances.

  • Spurs' Dominick Barlow: Excellent off bench Sunday

Barlow logged 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and one steal over 30 minutes during Sunday's 142-134 overtime win over the Kings. Barlow came off the bench but ended as one of San Antonio's most productive players in this upset win over the playoff-bound Kings. The 30 minutes he played Sunday were a season-high mark for the rookie, but his performance was probably an outlier and not a sign of things to come going forward. After all, he's only averaging 3.1 points and 2.8 rebounds per contest this season.

  • Spurs' Dominick Barlow: Gets extra playing time Wednesday

Barlow played 22 minutes off the bench and finished with six points (3-5 FG), four rebounds, two steals, one assist and one block in Wednesday's 137-128 overtime loss to the Mavericks. The Spurs were without six players due to injury or rest in the second leg of the back-to-back set Wednesday, and those absences allowed Barlow to settle into a high-minute backup role in the frontcourt behind starters Keldon Johnson and Sandro Mamukelashvili on Wednesday. Assuming the Spurs get their usual starting power forward (Jeremy Sochan) and starting center (Zach Collins) back for Friday's game against the Grizzlies, Johnson will likely move back to small forward, while Mamukelashvili should move back to the bench and serve as Collins' primary backup. Barlow could still stick in the rotation as Sochan's main backup, but his minutes ceiling will undoubtedly be lower if the Spurs get a couple key bodies back in the mix.

  • Spurs' Dominick Barlow: Back to G League

San Antonio assigned Barlow to the G League's Austin Spurs on Friday, Ty Jager of PoundingTheRock.com reports. • Spurs' Dominick Barlow: Recalled, available vs. Pistons

Barlow has been recalled from the G League and is available for Friday's game against the Pistons, Bruno Passos of PoundingTheRock.com reports. The Spurs will be putting out a skeleton crew for Friday's matchup, so it won't be surprising if Barlow gets in the rotation. The two-way player has appeared in just six NBA games this season and hasn't seen more than 10 minutes in a single contest. In his 38 total minutes, the rookie has recorded 18 points, seven rebounds, four assists and one steal.

  • Spurs' Dominick Barlow: Puts up team-high 26 points

Barlow delivered 26 points (10-16 FG, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds, an assist, two steals and three blocks across 31 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Ignite. Barlow carried Austin against the Ignite, but unfortunately for him, his efforts were not enough, and the Spurs suffered another loss. Barlow has been performing well despite the team's struggles, however, and he has scored at least 20 points in each of Austin's last four games while averaging 15.5 points and 8.4 rebounds per contest on the season.

  • Spurs' Dominick Barlow: Called up to NBA

San Antonio recalled Barlow from the G League's Austin Spurs ahead of Monday's game against the Bulls. The Spurs will be missing at least five players Monday, so Barlow will dress for a second straight contest. However, if the game remains fairly competitive throughout, Barlow may not be guaranteed to see the floor if head coach Gregg Popovich opts to limit his rotation to nine or 10 players.

  • Spurs' Dominick Barlow: Back to G League

San Antonio assigned Barlow to the G League's Austin Spurs following Friday's 137-125 loss to the 76ers. For one of the few occasions this season, the two-way rookie dressed for the NBA team on Saturday and received some light run off the bench. In his seven minutes of action, Barlow contributed four points (2-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds and one assist.

  • Spurs' Dominick Barlow: Recalled to NBA club

San Antonio recalled Barlow to the NBA club from the G League's Austin Spurs on Friday, Ty Jager of PoundingTheRock.com reports. Barlow and Blake Wesley were both recalled ahead of Friday's game against the 76ers and will be available for San Antonio. However, Barlow has made only four NBA appearances this season, with his last coming Dec. 14, so he isn't expected to see much, if any, playing time against Philadelphia.

  • Spurs' Dominick Barlow: Posts double-double

Barlow finished with 32 points (13-21 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 10 rebounds and three blocks across 37 minutes in Saturday's loss to the Vipers. Barlow was dominant on both ends of the court and was Austin's best player, but his efforts were not enough to allow the team to secure a win over Rio Grande. Barlow is an active player on both ends of the court, averaging 13.6 points and 8.1 rebounds per contest.

  • Spurs' Dominick Barlow: Pulls down 12 rebounds

Barlow recorded six points (2-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists and five blocks across 35 minutes in Tuesday's loss to Sioux Falls. Barlow was awful offensively and ended with more shots attempted than points scored, but he compensated for that with a strong effort both on the glass and on defense. The former Overtime Elite player is averaging 11.6 points and 8.0 rebounds this season.

  • Spurs' Dominick Barlow: Goes for 16 points in loss

Barlow posted 16 points (8-13 FG, 0-2 3Pt), seven rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block across 31 minutes off the bench in Monday's 112-98 loss to Stockton. Barlow has made just one start this season, but he's finding ways to contribute even when he comes off the bench for Austin. He's averaging 10.1 points across 25.9 minutes per contest in the regular season.

  • Spurs' Dominick Barlow: Double-doubles off bench

Barlow delivered 10 points (4-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 14 rebounds, two assists and two blocks across 34 minutes off the bench in Wednesday's 128-103 loss to Capital City. Barlow didn't have his best scoring performance, but he brought energy off the bench and led the team in rebounds while also logging heavy minutes, even if he didn't start. Barlow has scored in double digits in two of his first three games of the regular season.

  • Spurs' Dominick Barlow: Surprises with 17-point game

Barlow delivered 17 points (6-9 FG, 4-8 FT), six rebounds, two blocks and a steal across 32 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Vipers. Barlow hasn't impressed this season, but there's no question he's been taking his game to another level in recent outings, and the numbers back that up. Aside from recording a season-high mark in points, Barlow has now scored in double digits in three consecutive outings. He's still averaging just 8.7 points per game, but there's no question his numbers are moving in the right direction.

  • Spurs' Dominick Barlow: Puts up 13 points Friday

Barlow delivered 13 points (5-9 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, an assist and a block across 27 minutes in Friday's OT loss against the Hustle. This was Barlow's second-best performance from a scoring perspective, but he doesn't have a lot to choose from, either, as he's scored in double digits just three times and regularly struggles to make an impact on the offensive end. He's averaging 7.4 points per contest.

  • Spurs' Dominick Barlow: Sniffs double-double

Barlow accounted for 12 points (5-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-3 FT), eight rebounds and an assist across 26 minutes in Friday's loss against Lakeland. Barlow ended just two boards shy of putting up a double-double. He has been a bit inconsistent in his first appearances of the season, but this is a performance he can build from going forward.

  • Spurs' Dominick Barlow: On G League assignment

Barlow won't be available for Friday's game against the Clippers after being assigned to the G League's Austin Spurs for Friday's season opener, independent NBA writer Matthew Tynan reports. Barlow saw 10 minutes of action in Wednesday's loss to the Raptors, contributing two points, three assists and one rebound. However, he'll be back with Austin for its G League season opener Friday, and could remain in the G League for the foreseeable future.
