Jets' Malik Taylor: Lands new deal with Jets
The Jets signed Taylor to a reserve/future contract Monday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Taylor was placed on Green Bay's IR with an undisclosed injury in mid-August before being waived with an injury settlement Sept. 15. The 27-year-old then spent the majority of the season unsigned before joining the Jets' practice squad Dec. 29. Taylor caught seven of 13 targets for 80 yards and a touchdown across 25 games during the previous two seasons with the Packers. He'll now look to make an impression with the Jets this offseason.

Malik Taylor: Joins Jets' practice squad
New York signed Taylor to the practice squad Thursday, Ethan Greenberg of the team's official site reports.
Taylor takes the spot of linebacker Kai Nacua on the practice squad. Taylor logged 25 total appearances with the Packers over the 2020 and 2021 seasons, in which span he secured seven of nine targets for 80 yards and one touchdown. Now with the Jets, Taylor will provide some emergency depth at wide receiver.

Taylor (undisclosed) tried out for Atlanta on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Taylor was waived from injured reserve by the Packers in mid-September, but he appears to have put the undisclosed injury behind him and is looking for another NFL opportunity. The 26-year-old wideout played primarily on special teams during the 2020 and 2021 campaigns with Green Bay, but he does have seven career receptions for 80 yards and a score.

Taylor (undisclosed) was waived from the Packers' injured reserve with an injury settlement Thursday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Taylor appeared set to miss the entirety of the 2022 campaign after he reverted to Green Bay's IR in mid-August. The 26-year-old wideout recorded 14 yards on two receptions while primarily playing on special teams (131 of his 153 total snaps) over 10 games with the Packers in 2021. Taylor will now be free to work out a contract elsewhere, assuming he gets healthy again at some point this regular season.

Turner (undisclosed) reverted to the Packers' injured reserve list Thursday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Barring an injury settlement, Turner won't have an opportunity to play this upcoming season after he cleared waivers and recently transitioned to Green Bay's injured reserve list. Since going undrafted in 2019, the 6-foot-1, 220-pound receiver suited up for 25 games, catching seven passes for 81 yards and one touchdown.

Taylor was sidelined for the first couple weeks of training camp due to a shoulder injury but returned to practice in a limited fashion Aug. 7. However, he didn't see any action during the Packers' preseason opener and has since been let go with an injury designation, though it's unclear if the two injuries are related. The undrafted receiver out of Ferris State appeared in 25 games over the last two seasons in Green Bay, but he was a long shot to make the roster after strong performances from rookie wideouts Romeo Doubs and Samori Toure. Taylor will revert to the Packers' injured reserve list if he clears waivers, which -- barring an injury settlement -- would end his 2022 campaign.

Taylor (shoulder) practiced Sunday for the first time during training camp, but he was wearing a non-contact jersey, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Taylor had been nursing a shoulder injury, but he appears to be progressing well and could return to full practices soon, though Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette did mention that Sunday was a short jog-through practice, so it's unclear how much work Taylor actually got in.
